Ancient indigenous philosophies from places as disparate as Africa, Native America, India and China believe that the physical, intellectual, spiritual and emotional parts of a person are equally important. The Hometown Soul Cafe's mission to help you open up spaces you didn't know were closed, naturally includes making room for the dreams and visions in your everyday life - by encouraging contact with children and elders, providing spiritual texts in the Other People's Books library and referrals to places of meditation and worship. On that last note, we acknowledge the difficulties of grasping the mysteries of religious oberservance when restricted to religious services in a foreign tongue. Currently we know of two English language options in Göttingen and will do our part to encourage more. |
